The Nandigram issue has been internationalised, so to say. Around 80 NRIs, under the banner of the Association for India8217;s Development, have filed a Right to Information application with the Indian Embassy in Washington, seeking information on the number of people killed or injured in the spate of violence in Nandigram since November 4, the number of police personnel deployed there, action taken by the state Government to restore peace, provide relief, rehabilitate the displaced villagers and book the criminals who perpetrated the acts of violence.
