According to the official notice, the UGC NET December 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on December 31, 2025, and on January 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7, 2026. The NTA had earlier informed candidates about their allotted examination city and date through the city intimation slip. Admit cards for candidates scheduled to appear on January 3, 5, 6 and 7, 2026 were released on December 31, 2025.
The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode and, as per the usual NTA pattern, will be held in multiple shifts depending on the subject and date of the exam. Detailed reporting time, exam duration and shift timings are mentioned on the individual admit cards.
Candidates are advised to download their admit card along with the undertaking from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in by using their application number and date of birth or password.
After logging in, candidates must check all details printed on the admit card, including name, subject, exam date, shift, reporting time and examination centre address, and read the instructions carefully.
The NTA has also advised candidates to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre. Any discrepancy in the admit card details should be reported to the NTA immediately through the official channels before the examination date.
