MUMBAI, May 16: The three men arrested in connection with the killing of builder and Raghuvanshi Mill owner Vallabh Thakkar on April 17 were remanded to police custody till May 29 by the Metropolitan Magistrate this afternoon.

The three shooters, identified as Rajendra Manohar Salvinkar alias Kalia, Rajesh Roy alias Raju Bengali and Ravindra Narayan Satne alias pamplet babu’, were arrested by the Crime Branch sleuths from a hideout at Chikalwadi in South Mumbai at 2.30 pm yesterday.

According to sources in the Crime Branch, a manhunt has been launched to nab Shiva, who escaped the police dragnet. The police are also interrogating the arrested for clues which could lead them to Sada Pawle, the man who masterminded the killing, sources added.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police S C Malhotra today confirmed that notorious gangster Arun Gawli will be questioned in connection with the killing.
