The club is planning to give some more instruments to the school said Nair. Also the director of the club, Lion Col. Ravindranathan was present on the occasion.
Celebrating humanity
When festive spirits soar high, Rotary Club of Pune also did join it but with a cause. In their rocking New Year bash, at Corinthians club, the club roped in names like DJ Frankie and Santosh Shetty’s troupe.
Lokesh Arya, director, Rotary Club of Pune North East, says, “The idea behind organising the event was to welcome the New Year in a responsible way. Where we not only have fun but also feel responsible towards the society. So we thought that from all the funds that will be collected here, one part would be given to the family members of deceased policemen, who died in Mumbai terror attack. The proceeds from the show will also go to various social causes supported by the trust for the community.” The trust has been performing different programmes over the years now like giving credit to women entrepreneurs, supporting leprosy homes, schools for physically challenged, orphanages and old – age homes.
Donation passes for this bash are available at all Pizza Hut outlets, Ayur Core outlets and at Yash motors along with the Corinthian.
