J-K Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed today said that unless the people of all the three regions of the state are taken into confidence, there can be no “acceptable solution.’’Speaking at a seminar, “Impact of turmoil on quality of life in Jammu and Kashmir,” organised by J&K Regional Chapter of the IIPA, Mufti advocated a “self-rule”-type governance.Citing the autonomous hill development councils in Leh and Kargil, he said, “When we came to power, we vested these councils with full powers and they are working to the satisfaction of people. There is no interference and there is minimal level of corruption.’’ He advocated a similar mechanism so that people can manage their daily affairs on their own.
