Forms to be accepted till April 26
Vadodara: The admission forms for the Faculty of Management Studies of the M S University will be distributed and accepted till April 26, Faculty Dean Mayank Dholakiya said in an official release here on Wednesday.
Water supply
Residents of the city drawing water from the Akota tank will receive the evening supply late on Thursday as the VMC will take up work to lay a sluice valve near Shrenik Park Society in Akota.
Lahiri8217;s visit
Popular playback singer and music director Bappi Lahiri will arrive on a two-day visit to the city on Thursday. He will meet his fans and admirers at the Ajwa Fun World and Resort on Thursday between 7 and 9 pm and on Friday between noon and 3 pm.
Alumni meeting
A meeting of the alumni of the Baroda Medical College will be held on April 17 at Baroda Nursing Home at 4 pm to work out details of world conference to be organised by the college8217;s alumni association in December.
Phone lines
The telephone lines which have been affected due to the road widening scheme of the VMC in Sama will take two-three days to be restored, G M Telecom, Rakesh Babu said here on Wednesday. Meanwhile, city engineer P K Desai said that the VMC had received a complaint about cables being damaged.
121 join Cong
As many as 121 Rashtriya Janata Party RJP members from Vadodara city and district on Wednesday joined the Congress. The 121 include councillors Harish Vaghela, Geeta Desai and Ashwin Thakore, MSU Senate member Raisinh Dahima and former RJP district unit chief Yogin Amin.
Move flayed
City BJP leaders have criticised AIADMK leader Jayalalitha for withdrawing support to the BJP-led goverment. They have questioned whether it is a joint move of the Congress and the AIADMK to distablise the BJP-led goverment.
