Sunday school inaugurated

CHANDIGARH, Sept 26: A new project, Sunday School and Nursery Paradise, was inaugurated in Government High School, Sector 40, here today by UT District Education Officer Brahmjit Kalia.

Headmaster Bahadur Singh said the project aimed at encouraging students in various cultural, sports and handicraft projects. The interested teachers and students could attend school on Sundays for two hours to teach and learn various activities and even the nursery wing has been renovated. About 17 activities being conducted in the school at present, he said. In addition, 20 weak students, from classes VIII and X, have been asked to attend coaching classes in mathematics, he added.

A tree plantation drive was also organised on the occasion and Brahmjit Kalia also planted a tree in the school campus.
