The residents said the warden had not allowed them to call a DJ to celebrate the victory of SOPU-ABVP in the students8217; elections on Friday
Residents of Sarojini Hall today gathered outside the office of hostel warden Meena Vinayak and raised slogans demanding her ouster. They alleged she was 8220;excessively stern and troubled them8221;.
The issue was resolved with the intervention of Vice-Chancellor Professor R C Sobti. Even Dean of Social Welfare Department Professor Naval Kishore wast present at the spot.
Both of them gave a patient hearing to the complaints against the warden. They later decided to remove Vinayak for the time being. The additional charge of the hostel was given to another warden.

Talking to Newsline, Brinder Dhillon, a SOPU member, said: 8220;We had taken up the issue a number of times. The girls had been complaining against the warden some time and demanded that proper action be taken against her.8221;
The girls had sat on a strike and had refused to move till the warden was not removed from the post.
