MUMBAI, June 20: Chief Minister Manohar Joshi today assured the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) that the state will again look into the recent issue of fee hike in the BEd courses.

An ABVP delegation led by its state secretary Narendra Pawar today raised some of the related issues before the chief minister. “We told Joshi that the expenditure incurred by non-aided BEd colleges in the state is very minimal compared to the fee hike. Most of these institutes do not even have proper infrastructure,” said an ABVP student leader Anand Mapuskar.

ABVP has also urged the CM not to put BEd in the department of higher and technical education, since it basically deals with teaching skills at schools.
