PUNE, April 15: St Helena’s A’ entered the last four stage today after squeezing past Bharati Nivas Sports Club 20-17 in the under-13 category of the Pune District basketball tournament-cum-selection trials at the Deccan Gymkhana courts.

Saher Shaikh (8) and Priya Gurav (6) were the main scorers for the winners. The other teams to make the grade were Abhinav B’, PYC Gymkhana and Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (SPM).

SPM upset Deccan Gymkhana 12-7, well supported by Kavita Kapoor (3) and Dhanashree Jadhav (4) while Abhinav B’ continued to stay in the race ousting Helena’s B’ 14-3. J Akanksha (5) and B Rucha (4) excelled for the winners.

Emirates Good Luck India book in city
