NEW DELHI, June 8: A splendid knock of 75 by Salil was the highlight of LRS Academy8217;s 39-run victory over Shanti Academy in the SAIL Playmakers Inter-School Cricket Tournament at the Shanti sports complex, Vasant Kunj here today.
Salik struck 5 fours and 1 six in his knock and he got good support from Akshay who made 39 runs.
Batting first, LRS Academy totalled 209 for eight in the stipulated 40 overs. With Siddarth also chipping in with 36, Shanti Academy were in for a tough runchase.
Pankaj Sharma led the charge with a fighting 56, but the rest failed to capitalise on his knock.
LRS Academy: 209 for 8 in 40 overs Salil 75, Akshay 39, Siddarth 36, Pankaj 4 for 42. Shanti Academy: 170 in 34.2 overs Pankaj Sharma 56, Aditya 45, Siddarth 2 for 11, Sameer 3 for 22.
