Having fought for the honour of Chittorgarh all his life, he dedicated his life to the service of his nation and epitomised Rajput chivalry and courage that few in history have. Reiterating this aspect of the great hero Sadhu Vaswani exhorted the greatness of the Maharana while speaking on the 458 th death anniversary of Maharana Pratap. “The sacrificial life of Rana Pratap will continue to inspire generations unborn, rarely has history recorded such a soul-warming saga of heroic resistance in the face of unprovoked resistance,” observed Dada Vaswani at the function held on May 28 on the premises of the Vaswani mission. Emphasising on the futility of war, he pointed out that although Akbar was a great king, he would have been a greater king had he made peace with the Rajput king, who, “suffered but would not sacrifice the honour of his nation.”
