After all the bitterness between Subhash Ghai and Mahima Chaudhary one would think that she would prefer to forget the worst and the best. Though Mahima is refusing to pay what Ghai thinks is due to his welfare fund, she is gladly using Pardes to promote herself abroad where she is currently performing for stage shows. quot;You loved me in Pardes, now I have come to pardes and will conquer your hearts,quot; is what she apparently said. This might be filmi jargon but it8217;s in rather bad taste considering that her mentor is currently nursing his wounds. But look at it from Mahima8217;s point of view: she might as well make the most of it while the going is good.

Stir crazy

And the going is good for Bollywood abroad. There are many star shows on and our heroes and heroines are finding themselves in great demand. Other than the Pardes babe who is hugely popular, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan are also a big craze there. Taran Adarsh, a trade expert from the industry, was in San Francisco recently and he said that the girls were crazy about Salman.

Poor Somy Ali Salman miya8217;s girlfriend she seems to be heading toward trouble. We all know that the Khan stud has no qualms about giving into overtures.

Aunty8217;s act

GOVINDA8217;S Aunty Number One has run into fresh trouble. This time form the censors. Apparently, their latest demand is that a positive character cannot be shown smoking or drinking on screen. The other jarring note is the hoardings for the film. Compare the posters of Aunty Number One and Chachi 420 it8217;s evident that one is more sophisticated than the other. No prizes for guessing that Chachi 420 takes the honours home for sophistication. As for Chichi8217;s portrayal of aunty, well, everything is visibly fake his make-up and his falsies, as well. But the only plus point is that like Kamal Haasan, Govinda too is a great actor. So, let8217;s see if this helps the film once its cleared by the censors. But industry guys take note: good guys don8217;t smoke.

Late reaction

The differences between director Rajan Johri and producer Pahlaj Nihalani have been going on for a while over the film Uljhan. If you recall, we had told you about Pahlaj8217;s decision to do away with his director when the film was almost complete. At that time the director chose to stay reticent about his problems. But now he is crying foul. The producer has gone on record and taken credit for the direction of Uljhan. So, Mr Johri, it8217;s too late to complain the film is nearing release. There really is no use crying over spilt milk.

Desperate measures

RAHUL Roy is accepting whatever he can get. And we aren8217;t talking about women, this time it8217;s work. Only recently, he signed a Marathi film as the lead actor and now he is doing a music video with newcomer Shweta for the album Made For Each Other. Obviously, songs are the closest he can get to a Hindi movie.

As for his personal life, well he is still maintaining that Rajalaxmi is not living in with him. And we believe him. But hey, if he was to insist that there is nothing on between him and actor Sameer Soni8217;s estranged wife then we refuse to buy that.
