Shantanu stars in Hawks win
A fine spell of bowling by Shantanu Raja (4 for 24) and equally breezy knock of 47 runs by Sanjay Kumar helped Golden Hawks triumph over MTNL by 15 runs in the A-II division DDCA league.
Sanjay Kumar (47), Sandeep Rawat (37) and Krishan Gupta (32) were the top scorers for the winners while BS Bisht (39) and Sanjeev Khanna (32) were the principal contributors for the MTNL. In other matches, Jaspreet Singh’s unbeaten 36 and fine bowling by Jagat Gaur (4 for 22) enabled SB Youth beat DTC by nine wickets. Hind club prevailed over Inborn Cricketers by three wickets.
Sanjay Dhiman (47) and Sushil Dogra (29) were the main scorers for Hind Club while Sohail Rehman’s 37 and all-round performance by Faizal Khan (31 and 2 for 30) went in vain for Inborn Cricketers. Rajinder Nagar Colts triumphed over Rehman Club by eight wickets in A-II division match. Atul Malhotra (38) was the top scorer for Rajinder Nagar Colts while Mohd Sharif (59) was the main scorer for the losers.

NTPC meet
Dinesh (Sarswati Shishu Mandir) and Daya Thakur (VASP Ranauli) stood first in the 100 m race (upto fifth class) in the boys and girls categories, respectively, in the fourth Rural Sports meet at NTPC, Dadri. In the sixth to eighth class category, Pinki Rani (Phoolpur) clinched the first position in 100m while Kaita got the second place. In the 400m race, Rajendra Singh (Bisara) emerged the winner while in the 800m Sujoy Kumar (Chauna village) finished first.
Rajat advances
Rajat Taneja, who defeated Geet Sethi in the pool tournament last year, entered the third round of Pepsi Vertex Delhi Open eighth ball pool tournament. Manoj Tyagi, Amit Kapoor, Sharad Batra, Vijit and Sandeep Batala also entered the third round. Former Delhi champion Feroz Khan reached the second round. The other participants includes Dharmender Lily, Manan Chandra, Subhash Sood, Rishab Thukral, Varun Taneja, Anuj Uppal and Sidharth Anand.
Anil hits 117
A stroke-filled 117 by Anil Rana and an unbeaten 85 by Harvinder Singh powered Delhi Police to score a 224-run victory over Phool Chand Sharma Academy in the second Hari Singh Tyagi TYCA league at Police Lines ground.Anil Rana, Harvinder Singh and Rajesh Tyagi were the battig heroes for the winners. Pankaj Jain (24) was the top scorer for the losers.
In another match, Rajender Sharma’s (4 for 13) excellent bowling enabled South West Police overwhelm Seven Star by seven wickets at Mohan Meakin ground.

Fine display by Sudhir (61) and Raj Kumar (42) helped Nirulas outplay Connaught Hotel by eight wickets to enter the semi-final of the Coca-Cola inter-hotel tournament at Siri Fort sports complex.
Raj Kumar (3 for 32) and Nitin Malhotra (3 for 22) were the wikcet-takers for the Nirulas while Albert was the top scorer for the losers.
