An unbeaten knock of 60 runs by Abhishek Kumar helped Angles Public School prevail over DAV School (Dayanand Vihar) by five wickets in the semi-final of the Zone-I of Department of Educationa junior boys tournament at DAV ground.

Abhishek Kumar (2 for 11) and Sushil Kumar (2 for 21) were the wicket-takers for the winners while Gaurav Malhotra’s 58 and two wickets for nine runs went in vain.

Postal kabaddi
Delhi maintained its winning spree beating Rajasthan 45-10 on the third day of the 13th All India Postal kabaddi tournament. In other matches which were played on knock-out basis, AP defeated West bengal 46-17; Tamil Nadu humbled Karnataka 59-15 while Maharashtra prevailed over Kerala 35-18.

Selection trials
Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board will organise selection trials for its football team (for the All India Civil Services football tournament) from February 22 to 23 between 2 pm to 5 pm at Vinay Marg sports complex. Interested players from ministries/departments may contact convener football/games supervisor, CCSCSB at the venue.

DCA elections
Delhi Carrom Association elected MK Gandhi and RK Mudgal as president and general secretary, respectively, in its special general meeting.

CWC outwitted Philips India by seven wickets in a low-scoring match of the second Hari Singh TYCA league at Mohan Meakin ground. Sunil Sudan (52 not out) was the top scorer for the winners while Rajat Jaiswal (25) and Mohit Sharma (20) contributed for the losers.

Maruti in semis
Excellent bowling by Sudhir (3 for 22), MS Taragi (3 for 25) and Sanjay (2 for 7) powered Maruti Udyog score 24 runs win over ABB to reach the semi-final of the sixth Teri Cup tournament at University grounds.

Industrial Cup
District Cricket Association, Gurgaon will organise Industrial Cricket Cup for the teams of industries located in Gurgaon and adjoining areas of Haryana from February 21 at Nehru Stadium (Gurgaon). The winner will be richer by Rs 11,000 while runners-up will get Rs 5,100.
