Ramesh, Dravid lead Indian run-feast
There was cheer and joy in the Indian camp on the first day of the second league match of the Asian Test Cricket championship in Colombo on Wednesday. Left-hander Sadagoppan Ramesh stroked away to his maiden century 143 while Rahul Dravid 107 continued his tremendous run-spree outside the country. The two stitched a record 232 runs for the second wicket against Sri Lanka to make it a happy day for India. Then, little master Sachin Tendulkar blazed to a quick-fire 53 in 54 balls to give India a score of 351 for 3 and also four batting bonus points.

India win Test
Spirited India rallied majestically from a two-goal deficit to defeat arch-rivals Pakistan 3-2 in a closely fought final tie of the nine-match hockey series in Lahore on Wednesday. Pakistan, however, won the double-leg series 6-3.
