BCA Senior Div chess
The Senior Division chess tournament, organised by the Bombay Chess Association, will be held at Zandu Canteen, Sayani Road, from October 6. The Open event will be played in a nine-round Swiss League format and the top 32 players will be promoted. The entry fee is Rs 70 for Senior Division players and Rs 170 for others. Players should confirm their entries by October 5, except on weekends, at the venue between 6-9 pm. For details contact DB Pulekar Tel: 513 0943.
Judo trials
The Mumbai Judo Association will conduct selection trials at the University Pavilion on October 2, to pick the Mumbai team for the 27th Maharashtra State championships, at Pune from October 7-9. The trials will be held for sub-junior boys and girls (under-14), junior boys and girls (14-18 years) and senior men and women (over 18 years).
Bridge tourney
Lokmanya Seva Sangh, Vile Parle, will conduct its annual bridge tournament on October 2-3. The tournament will commence at 1 pm with SwissLeague of four duplicate. Entry fee is Rs 400.
Swim camp
Otters Club will organise an autumn swim (beginners level and advanced level) camp from November 1-16. Forms will be available from October 4 (10 am to 7 pm) onwards.
