NEW DELHI, JAN 13: The Shiv Sena has asked its three Members of Parliament to remain available in Delhi for rendering assistance to party activists, in the wake of their (Shiv Sainiks’) involvement in damaging the Ferozeshah Kotla cricket ground.

A party statement issued here this evening said the three MPs–Pritish Nandy, Ajit Shidolkar (both Rajya Sabha) and Madhukar Sarpotdar (leader of Shiv Sena MPs in Parliament)–will stay in the Capital to “solve the problems of the Sainiks.”

Those supporting the Pakistani cricket team’s visit to India were “anti-nationals” and supporting them would mean “insulting” the security forces who had lost their lives fighting Pakistan’s ISI in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and other parts of the country, as well as hurting the self esteem of those still on the force, said Delhi Shiv Sena chief Jaibhagwan Goel.
