Home Minister L K Advani will be touring Mahrashtra for the September polls this week. He will be addressing meetings in Akola, Chandrapur, Tumsar and Nagpur on August 18 and in Nashik, Ahmednagar, Latur and Solapur on August 19.

Answering questions today, Jawdekar confirmed that Pradeep Ravat, Pune president of the party, had sent his resignation to the State party president. But as the party president, Suryabhan Patil Wahadne, was in Pune, the outcome of the meeting between the two would only be known later.

Ravat is reportedly upset with the party because Anna Joshi has been given the Pune Lok Sabha seat this time.
