The mother of British teenager Scarlett Keeling, who was allegedly murdered after being raped on a beach in Goa, spent a year in jail for slitting the throat of a man she met at a party, her son has revealed. Hal Keeling (19) was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail of Britain that Fiona MacKeown (43) was 18 when she and a friend were charged with attempted murder. She served a year of a three-year sentence after the charge was reduced to attempted manslaughter following a trial in 1983, the daily reported.
