SC/STs should fight for rights

AHMEDABAD, Oct 3: The Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes should start a sustained fight for their right. This was stated by speakers at an SC, ST, OBC rights meeting organised here on Sunday.

Former Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court A P Ravani said the inefficiency which had crept into the administration was not because of the reservation policy, but because of the mediocracy of general candidates. Senior lawyer Girish Patel called for proper representation of SCs, STs and OBCs in the judiciary and said there should be improvement in educational standards of people in these categories.
