MUMBAI, APRIL 5: A 95-run partnership for the final wicket between left-hander Vinit Sarang (61: 96b, 9×4) and Mandar Gokarna (38 no: 67b, 7×4) helped Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Colts score 234 in the three-day final of the Police Shield Cricket Tournament against National CC at the Parsee Gymkhana here today.

MCA Colts were struggling at 129 for nine but then came the brave partnership for the final wicket. Only opener left-handed Manoj Joglekar (47: 123b, 9×4) had a sizeable contribution at the top of the order as National medium pacers Manish Patel (4-86), Atul Ranade (3-63) and Amit Dani (2-16) wrecked havoc with MCA Colts.

At the end of the day, Vinit Sarang had made an inroad into the National batting by claiming opener Wasim Jaffer for 15 as they ended the day on 35 for one.
