RPF nabs five women for theft

CHENNAI, Aug 19: Ten persons including five women were arrested by the Railway Protection Force for possession of railway property. Railway sources said the RPF on Monday arrested five women – Murugamma, Suseela, Bhooma Devi, Ammu and Loga for unlawful possession of railway axle box covers stolen from Railway Cariage Works in Perambur. After interrogating the women, the RPF personnel conducted raids in different shops in Anna Nagar, Perambur and Ayanavaram and recovered railway material.
