CHANDIGARH, April 19: Royal Cricket Club, Fighter A’ XI, Gallant XI, DYFI XI, Pace Club and Link Club won their respective matches in the Grow Green Cup Chandigarh League cricket here at various venues across the city today.

Royal Club beat PGI XI by 54 runs, thanks to an allround performance by Surinder (25 n.o. and 3 for 21) at the PGI ground. In the second match at the same venue, Fighter A’ left-arm spinner Arun Tuli and off-spinner R P Singh combined well to bowl out Punwire XI for a paltry 88. Fighter A’ then romped home in style as M P Singh and Rajeev nayyar raced to the target.

At the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, fine knock by Anil Kumar (76 n.o.) helped Gallant XI beat Thunder XI by a huge margin of 140 runs. In the other match at that venue, DYFI XI downed JAL XI by three wickets. Pace Club owed their 96 run win over Bedi Club at the PEC ground to Anoop and Yuvraj Singh. In the second match there Link Club mauled Hillion Club by a massive margin of eight wickets.
