CHANDIGARH, Nov 30: City Election Commissioner B. Prasad has appointed returning officers and assistant returning officers for the elections of panches and sarpanches to the gram panchayats of the Union Territory.
The returning officer and assistant returning officer for Kishangarh, Mauli Jagran, Daria and Raipur Kalan are Transport Director Abhey Singh Yadav and Chandigarh Transport Undertaking depot number II General Manager Surinder Kumar holding additional charge, respectively, an official release said.
The returning officer and assistant returning officer for Bahlana, Hallumajra, Kajheri and Palsora are Director, Public Instruction School D.S. Mangat and District Education Officer Brahmjit Kalia, respectively.
For Raipur Khurd, Dadumajra, Dhanas and Sarangpur, the returning officer and assistant returning officer are Industries Director Arun Sekri and Sports Joint Director J.P.S. Sidhu, respectively.
The returning officer and assistant returning officer for Khuda Alisher, Kaimbwala, Khuda Lahora, Khuda Jassu and Maloya are Super Bazar General Manager Ashwini Kumar and Enforcement Tehsildar D.S. Baloria, respectively.
Block Development and Panchayat Officer P.S. Gill has been appointed electoral registration officer for the villages. Enforcement Colonies Tehsildar K.S. Gill, Revenue Tehsildar H.R. Nagra and Assistant Labour Commissioner M.S. Rana have been appointed assistant electoral registration officers.
