Rajputana Rifles Regiment has bagged the coveted award for the best marching contingent among the three services at this year’s Republic Day Parade. The panel of judges selected the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) contingent, led by Assistant Commandant Onkar Singh Thakur, as the best marching contingent among paramilitary and other auxiliary marching contingents.In the children’s pageant category, Tiranga Sakshi Hai presented by the students of Kamal Model Sr Secondary School, Mohan Garden and Vandana International Sr Secondary School, Sector-10, Dwarka was given the first prize. The second prize in this category went to four Government Girls Schools, Trilokpuri for their presentation Gaurav. South Central Zone Culture Centre, Nagpur was awarded third prize for its dance performance Gour Madia, the bison dance.In the tableaux category, the Kerala tableau depicting Onam was awarded the first prize. The second prize went to the tableau from Karnataka depicting the Hoysala temple. The Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Education of Girl Child was awarded the third prize.
