CHANDIGARH, Nov 24: Bharatiya Vidyalya celebrated its Annual Day today at Tagore Theatre. Finance Minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh presided over the function.The students presented a play, Bhagat Singh, Prince Among Martyrs which took the audience back to the years of the freedom struggle. Mayank Wig played the role of Bhagat Singh while Avinash Tikku and Yashu played Rajguru and Sukhdev. Rajan Patial played the role of the fakir. Gaurav Bhatia, Gaurav Dadwal and Geetika Sharma, all Class X students, received the K.J. Khosla award for Sanskrit. The C. Subramaniam award for excellence in character was given to Mansi Gulati of Class VIII, Urvashi Khanna of Class X and Ishwinder Singh of Class XII.
