Relations between the ruling DMK and PMK dipped again, with Chief Minister M Karunanidhi warning his ally to exercise caution while criticising his government and an unrepentant Dr S Ramadoss declaring that his party would continue to exercise its democratic right of highlighting people8217;s problems.
Reacting to a warning by Karunanidhi on Monday calling for restraint on the part of Ramadoss while criticising his Government, the PMK leader said: 8220;In a democracy, political parties have the right to bring to the Government8217;s notice problems faced by the public. There is no limit for this. I never exceeded my limits.8221; Karunanidhi had declared that 8220;there is a limit for everything.8221;
8220;Karunanidhi is a senior politician and a democrat. He knows that a political party has to carry out its democratic duties. He also knows that a party cannot be shut up,8221; Ramadoss said in a statement.
