CHENNAI: A special team of the city crime branch police has arrested Y Ganesan, one of the three directors of the private Non Banking Financial Institution quot;RBF Nidhi Ltdquot;, who has been absconding. City police commissioner P Kalimuthu said efforts were on to apprehend two others Subramaniam and Shyam Kumar.
The three had been absconding since the arrest of four other directors of the institution, Venkatesan, Nirmal Kumar, Hubert Finolin and Unny, on January 5. The company, which was facing 199 cases, had collected deposits to the tune of Rs 370 crore from more than two lakh depositors. It had also provided loans to individuals who had pledged jewels and houses with the company.
