MUMBAI: THE Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai Police today decided to register a case against CRB Group of Companies for defrauding its investors. Joint Commissioner of Police R S Sharma, who is heading the probe, told The Indian Express that every attempt would be made to get the investors their money back. He said the immediate task of EOW was to identify the assets of CRB Group of Companies and its top executives. The assistance of Interpol may also be sought to arrest the company’s absconding managing director, C R Bhansali, added Sharma.

Hawala verdict

NEW DELHI: THE designated court holding trial in the Rs 65 crore hawala scam, will decide on May 28 whether further trial was possible against former union ministers, Arjun Singh, Madhavrao Scindia, N D Tewari and R K Dhawan. Special Judge V B Gupta today fixed May 28 for pronouncement of his order on charges against these leaders.
