
Fresh arson in Ahmedabad
AHMEDABAD: Police opened fire and burst teargas shells to quell a rioting mob in Gomtipur where five persons were injured tonight even as trouble erupted in some areas of the walled city after a brief spell of normalcy. Police said they fired five rounds and lobbed half-a-dozen teargas shells in Gomtipur, but no one was injured in firing.

HYDERABAD: Theee armymen were arrested for the gangrape of a house maid here on Saturday. Police said the accused, Mohammed Rafi Khan, O P Tiwari, Mohan Lal and Mulani, of the Administrative Batallion at the AOC Centre here, posed as police personnel and took the victim to an isolated house in Mahindra Hills and raped her.
