Meghalaya Govt faces trust vote

SHILLONG: Meghalaya8217;s United Parliamentary Forum UPF coalition ministry, shaken by the resignation of three ministers, will face a no-confidence motion on June 25. The motion, tabled by the Congress-led United Meghalaya Parliamentary Forum UMPF leader and former chief minister DD Lapang, was admitted by Speaker EK Mawlong on Wednesday. The resignation of three ministers jolted the fragile three-month-old ruling coalition which has a strength of 32 members in the 60-seat Assembly as against 28 members of UMPF.
