Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday vowed to give necessary assistance to Kyrgyzstan, as the country scrambled to stabilise the situation in the aftermath of the March 24 coup by the Opposition in Bishkek that ousted Akskar Akayev.

Addressing a meeting of his Cabinet in the Kremlin on Monday, Putin asked the Agriculture and the Emergency Situations Ministers to consider and render all the possible help to the former Central Asian Soviet republic.

8216;8216;The political developments will continue in Kyrgyzstan. We will not comment on these events yet. However, taking into account our special relations with the Kyrgyz people and humanitarian reasons, we will have to render all possible assistance if necessary,8217;8217; Putin said.
