In the men8217;s section, MPJ Rohilkhand University, Bareilly defeated PAU, Ludhiana 3-0 and CCS University, Meerut, got the better of Maharashi Dayanand University, Rohtak by 3-1.

Defending champion Delhi University in both men8217;s and women8217;s group will play their first match tomorrow. Host PU varsity and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar also play their opening match tomorrow.
