Finally the rain gods have relented and the stage is set for the rescheduled matches of the North Zone Ranji Trophy one-day cricket tournament. Punjab play Delhi tomorrow at the Punjab Cricket Association PCA Stadium here.
Both teams had below par performances in the longer version of Ranji Trophy.
Punjab, led by Pankaj Dharmani, will be keen to impress on home turf, especially now that the experience of southpaw Dinesh Mongia and VRV Singh wil also be available.
They also have Gagandeep Singh and left-arm medium pacer Amit Uniyal and added to that is their traditionally good performance at home.
Delhi, skippered by Shikhar Dhawan, will fall back on Gautam Gambhir, Ashish Nehra, Mitthun Manhas and Amit Bhandari. Promising youngsters Mayank Tehlan and wicketkeeper Puneet Bisht are also the ones to watch out for.
