Poetry meet for kids
Phulrani Theatre, Pune, will organise a poet8217;s meet for children below 12 years on the occasion of Children8217;s Dayon November 14 at Udyan Prasad Karyalaya from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The best three poems will be presented the Chacha Nehru award. Veteran writer Raja Mangalwedhekar will preside over the function and Dr. Madhusudan Ghanekar will be the chief guest.
Children interested in participating in the meet should send their poems to Nayan Ranadiwe, 499, Followers Road, behind Cantonment Hospital, Khadki, Pune-3, before October 15.
Kulkarni awarded
Dr Sanjay B Kulkarni, a city-based urologist, was given the 8220;best video presentation8221; award at the fourth Asian urology conference held in Singapore recently. The conference was attended by 600 delegates.
Attack on nuns condemned
The Stree Adhar Kendra has condemned the recent attack on the Catholic nuns in Madhya Pradesh and has demanded that stringent action be taken against theculprits.
Sadhana camp
Dada J P Vaswani inaugurated a three-day Sadhana camp at Shanani Health Home at Lonavala on Friday. The camp is attended by 300 persons majority of them college students hailing from different parts of the country.
