CA examination postponed
Paper 4 8211; Corporate Law and Secretarial Practice Group 1 of the Chartered Accountants final examinations scheduled for May 6, has been postponed.According to a release issued here by the Western India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Pune Branch, the examination will now be held on May 14 at 8 am at the same venue.

Teachers8217; seminar
An in-service course seminar for primary teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya KV Sanghathan commenced at the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Southern Command, on Monday. Brig. Madan Gopal, Pune Sub-Area Commander and chairman of the Vidyalaya management committee of KV schools in Pune, inaugurated the seminar.Principals H K Ganjoo S B Ninaria are the course director and course associate director, respectively. The seminar will conclude on May 24.

Eye camp
Pune-based Tulsi Trust and Jnana Prabodini Medical Trust organised a free eye check up camp at Mauje Madi in Satara district recently. In all, 600 persons were examined during the camp and spectacles were distributed to 250 patients. Sadashiv Pol, vice-president of Satara Zilla Parishad, inaugurated the camp.

Children8217;s camp
A three-day camp for street children was inaugurated at Gandhi National Memorial Society on Tuesday. The camp was inaugurated by Surili, a young girl, and Rajanikant Nancy. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Shobhana Ranade, Sujata Deokule, Meenaxi Apte and others.During the camp, the children will be taught painting and singing. They will also be taken to Peshwe Park, the airport, Appu Ghar and Balgram.

Pardeshi on 15-day tour
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Pravinsinh Pardeshi will leave for China on a 15-day visit on Thursday to attend a conference on highways organised by the World Bank. Pardeshi has been invited by the World Bank to attend the conference.

Pardeshi will later visit Japan to attend an international conference on International Cooperation of Cities and Citizens for cultivating an Eco Society. The conference will be held from May 26 to 29.
