In a memorandum addressed to Police Commissioner K K Kashyap, they have sought immediate action against the vegetable and fruit vendors and handcart pullers parking themselves on the foothpaths and roadsides, illegal parking of vehicles, autorickshaws and two-wheelers in particular, in the vicinity of marriage halls and remedial measures to improve the condition of the road. A copy of the memorandum was submitted at the office of municipal commissioner Rajiv Agarwal.

The other grievances related to traffic conditions as listed in the memorandum include lack of traffic signals, zebra crossings, speed breakers, autorickshaw stands, hawker zones and parking norms for private vehicles.The signatories to the memorandum include office-bearers of Shivshakti Tarun Mandal, Samaj Seva Mitra Mandal, Shivanjali Tarun Mandal and Akhil Balajinagar Traders8217; Association.

Water closure
Water supply will remain closed in parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad on Saturday evening due to urgent repair works at Bijlinagar, Pimpri.

Areas which will be affected include Chinchwadgaon, Walhekarwadi, Premlok Park, Tanajiwadi, Keshavnagar, Pimprinagar, Pimprigaon, Thergaon, Rhatani, Kalewadi, New Sangvi, Pimplegurav and Pimple Saudagar.
