SAS NAGAR, MAY 11: Punjab Urban Development Authority PUDA took out a draw of lots today at the Estate Office in Phase I wherein house numbers were allocated to the allotes. Local Estate Officer G.S. Ghuman presided over the thinly attended function.
The draw was held for two schemes. Allotees of 207 plots of various categories in Sector 68 for which a draw was held on April 27, 1999 were allotted their respective house numbers. The second draw pertained to plots that Non Resident Indians had applied for the plots under various schemes floated way back from February 10, 1972.
Out of the 42 applications received till date, under the present NRI scheme, 25 were found to be eligible. Deposits will be refunded to ineligible applicants, Ghuman said. There are 25 plots in total, of which 22 are 500-square foot plots and three are 250-square feet plots. All the plots are in Sector 69.
