WASHINGTON, February 3: Two Kashmiri fora in the United States have appealed to India to bring the terrorists behind the recent Wandhama massacre to justice and protect the Pandit community in the Kashmir valley.

In a meeting over the weekend to protest and mourn the killing of 23 people at Wandhama near Srinagar, they demanded that if protection could not be provided, all Pandits should be shifted from the Valley to safer places like Delhi and Jammu.

“We urge the central and state governments to bring the barbaric and inhuman terrorists to justice and protect the Hindu minority in Kashmir,” said Jeevan Zutshi at the meeting at Fremont Temple organised by the Indo-American Community Federation (IACF) and Indo-American Kashmir Forum (IAKF).

“If they cannot protect them (the Pandits), send them to other parts of India and rehabilitate them along with existing several thousand refugees in Jammu and Delhi camps,” IAKF convenor Zutshi told a gathering of around 250 people.

Referring to Jammu andKashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah’s call to Kashmiri Hindus to come back to their homeland, Zutshi said, “It has become clear after this third carnage in less than 10 months that Kashmiri Hindus cannot go back to settle down in the Kashmir Valley.”
