
NEW DELHI, December 6: A 35-year-old man from Nepal, Hanif, and his two women accomplices, also from Nepal, were arrested yesterday from a Paharganj guest house for their alleged involvement in a prostitution racket. The police also rescued a 15-year-old girl, whom the trio had brought from Nepal.
According to the police, the girl had been lured away from her village in Nepal by Hanif, who is her distant cousin. He had promised to get her a job in a Middle-East country. The girl reportedly paid Rs 13,000 to Hanif for arranging her passport and visa. Hanif brought the girl from Nepal earlier this week and put her up in a Paharganj guest house. Hanif8217;s women accomplices joined the girl in the guest house, and were planning to sell her for prostitution. Additional DCP central Muktesh Chander said Hanif worked as an agent for manpower export to India and several Gulf countries. The group8217;s modus operandi was that Hanif would bring the girls from Nepal, while his accomplices, stationed in Delhi, would take care of the deals.
