The new rules of the Indian Premier League which will be applied from next year have left Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan “a bit confused” and said it would have been “fair for everyone” if all players are put up for auction in November. “New IPL rules a bit confusing. Two new teams added (good). All players should go into pool to make it fair for everyone. Simple & straight,” Shah Rukh tweeted.
Rice twitter slur costs dear
Triple Olympic swimming gold medalist Stephanie Rice has lost an endorsement contract with carmakers Jaguar over a homophobic slur she made on Twitter. “It’s not an association we want to have going forward,” the company stated. The derogatory remark was made after Australia’s last-minute win over South Africa in a rugby Test match. Rice later deleted the tweet.
Rooney needs to be strong
Wayne Rooney needs to be strong and keep his troubled personal life separate from his job that’s the view of coach Fabio Capello. “You have to divide different moments: private life and job,” Capello said after revelations in newspapers about his romp with a prostitute fueled speculation that Rooney would stay back to address family issues.
