Airplane,the David Zucker-Jim Abrahams-Jerry Zucker comedy is one of 25 films that have been added to the National Film registry,a roster maintained by the National Film Preservation Board to safeguard films deemed culturally,historically or aesthetically significant. Among the 24 other films that were chosen from 2,112 nominations and will be added to the registry are All the Presidents Men,Alan J. Pakulas drama about the Watergate scandal; Grey Gardens,and The Exorcist. Also on this years roster are The Pink Panther,The Empire Strikes Back and the blockbuster Star Wars.

Bon Jovi was the top draw for concert audiences in 2010,a tumultuous year for the touring industry that experienced a drop in ticket grosses overall. Bon Jovis tour,which began the year in support of its most recent studio album,The Circle,and continues on the heels of a new hits collection,had 108.2 million in ticket sales in North America,according to Pollstar,a trade publication that collects sales data from concert promoters and theaters. Roger Waters of Pink Floyd had the No 2 tour,with 89.5 million in ticket sales,and the Dave Matthews Band was No 3 with 72.9 million.

Taylor Swifts Speak Now was released in October with the biggest sales of any new album in five years,and it has remained a hit. In the week that ended on December 26 it sold 276,000 copies,according to SoundScan. It holds at No 1 on Billboards chart for the second week in a row; since its release,Speak Now has been in the top spot four times and sold just under 2.9 million copies.
