With the India-Australia series clashing with the Commonwealth Games in October,CWG organising committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi has sought Sports Minister MS Gill’s help to convince the BCCI to reschedule.

In a letter to the minister,Kalmadi requested Gill to convince BCCI officials to re-adjust the dates of the Tests which coincide with the October 3-14 Games. The first Test is from October 2-6 in Mohali while the second Test is from October 10-14 in Bangalore.

“I seek to write to your good offices to try and convince BCCI to reschedule the two Test matches…,” Kalmadi wrote. He also said that he had,a year ago, requested then BCCI president Sharad Pawar not to schedule any cricket series on Indian soil during the Games.
