Former India captain Jhulan Goswami has slipped to fourth position in the latest ICC Women8217;s ODI Player Rankings for bowlers following a disappointing home series against Australia.
The seam bowler couldn8217;t manage a single wicket in the series and gave away 106 runs as India lost 0-3 in the three-match series.
However,the 23-year-old Punjab right-hander Harpreet Kaur,who became the second highest run-getter in the series scoring 57,6 and 63,climbed up 11 places to be at 14th position in the batters list,her highest till date.
India8217;s Amita Sharma 19th and Poonam Raut 27th have both dropped down the rankings after disappointing series with the bat.
Australia bowlers Lisa Sthalekar and Ellyse Perry still occupy the first and second spots on the rankings for bowlers.
Sthalekar,who finished the three-match series with figures of 28-5-81-4,consolidated her position on the top,while Perry has climbed to her career-best second position after the figures of 28.1-5-87-9.
The 21-year-old Perry claimed her second-ever ODI five-wicket haul in the series when she snapped up 5-19 in the second ODI against India at the Wankhede Stadium,Mumbai on March 14,which Australia won by a huge margin of 221 runs.
