Dhoni stars as Chennai batsmen help whip Rajasthan

CSK beat Rajasthan Royals by 63 runs to move toward a knockout berth in the IPL.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni smashed a whirlwind 41 not out off 19 balls as Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 63 runs to move toward a knockout berth in the IPL on Monday.

Dhoni belted three sixes and three fours to lift Chennai to 196-3 after the visiting side was asked to bat first. Former champion Rajasthan was all out for 133 in 19.3 overs.

Dhoni’s effort followed fine knocks from opener Murali Vijay (53),Australian batsman Mike Hussey (46) and Suresh Raina (43).

The win took Chennai to joint second with 14 points from 11 games,the same as Kolkata Knight Riders,while Rajasthan was fifth with 11 from 11.

Mumbai Indians remained comfortably perched on top with 16 from 10.
