England fined at Centurion
Dubai: England have been fined for slow over-rate during their second T20 International against South Africa in Centurion. ICC match referee Javagal Srinath imposed the fine after England were found one over short of their target at the end of the match,which they lost by 84 runs.
Vettori fit for Pakistan Test
Wellington: New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori has been passed fit for the Test series against Pakistan beginning at Dunedin next week. Vettori returned from New Zealands ODI and T20 series against Pakistan in the UAE on Sunday with mild concussion after being struck by a Mohammed Aamer bouncer and injury to his bowling shoulder.
Mills to undergo surgery
Wellington: Kyle Mills was ruled out of New Zealands Test series and will undergo surgery to fix a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder and tendon damage in his right knee,New Zealand Cricket said. Chris Martin and Iain OBrien may share the new ball at the Dunedin Test.
No ban on black dresses
Kanpur: Spectators of the Kanpur Test between India and Sri Lanka need not worry about the colour of their attires as there would be no ban on black clothes in the Green Park Stadium. The police had imposed a ban on black dresses or carrying black clothes inside the stadium during the earlier one-dayers here to eliminate any possibility of spectators showing dissent.
Lee may sit out Gabba Test
Melbourne: Brett Lees chances of playing the first Test against the West Indies beginning next Tuesday have all but disappeared after being ruled out of this weeks Sheffield Shield match due to a recurring elbow injury.
