Special judge, POTA court, Sonia Gokani, on Tuesday set aside an application filed by the advocate of Chand Khan, an accused in the Akshardham attack case, alleging that Crime Branch officials used third degree methods to extract confession from the accused.
The court set aside the application after going through Chand’s medical examination report. The report prepared by a team of two doctors from Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital stated: ‘‘No injury marks were found on the body of Chand Khan’’. It said his blood pressure and pulse were also normal. The report submitted in the court states that there seemed to be no acute mental or physical harassment of the accused.
