A terse message last night from nephew Anup Mishra was enough to send 78-year-old Prime Minister A.B. Vajpayee rushing to Gwalior to meet his ailing sister Urmila Mishra on Monday.Vajpayee took time off from Parliament to attend to his sister who has been suffering from cancer for sometime now. The PM left shortly after 2 pm on a Boeing 737 to get a first hand report on his sister with whom he maintains close ties. After spending half-an-hour with senior doctors at J.A. Hospital, Vajpayee decided to get his sister to Delhi for treatment. “After an assessment report on her health, the PM decided to get his sister back to Delhi for treatment,” sources said, adding she was brought back in the same Boeing and was attended to by doctors on board. On her arrival in the Capital, she was admitted to a private ward AIIMS. Senior doctors attending on her said her health is being closely monitored. “She is being evaluated,” said sources at AIIMS.
