VADODARA, Feb 2: The Faculty of Performing Arts students have decided to observe strike on Wednesday alleging that faculty dean D K Bhonsle had misbehaved with a student during the examinations.

Meanwhile, the dean has filed a police complaint against the students as they went on a rampage at the faculty on Monday breaking several earthern pots protesting against the dean8217;s alleged behaviour. One of the students Ashish Sant speaking to Express Newsline said, 8220;At the time of the examinations the dean pointed out the mistakes, without listening to the students versions and giving them a chance for rectifying themselves.8221; He added that though the students were ready to prove that they were right but Bhonsle did not give them a chance to do so.

Sant also added that the dean had behaved with the students in a similar manner even earlier. Bhonsle, however, clarified that the students had to be corrected when they were going wrong especially at the time of their examinations. He, however, denied of having misbehaved with any student. Bhonsle said, 8220;We had to file a police complaint as a precautionary measure and to protect the faculty property.8221;

Bhonsle added that there was no reason for the students to complain. He also alleged that the students were being made scapegoats by some senior teachers of the faculty over professional rivalry among them.
